Five Years

Today, Bobby and I celebrated five years of marriage. That makes me feel old.

Here is what we did to celebrate the day:

We were late to church because as soon as I finished putting on his shoes to walk out the door, Shawn had an explosive diaper situation that needed to be dealt with. We enjoyed the service at North Rock Hill Church. We went to Big Lots to sit in recliners to determine if any were worthy of taking up a spot in our living room. We had lunch with one of my friends from middle school and her boyfriend. It was lovely to catch up. We then came home where Shawn napped for 3 hours and we straightened up the house. We played with the boys for a little bit, then brought Shawn to a friends house. We returned home and had dinner on TV trays (hasn't happened since Shawn became mobile) then watched a movie all the way through without stopping it! When it ended we did a little bit to make sure our budget was correct, and Bobby vacuumed the house.

Then- the best part of the day occurred. We decided that we wanted some frozen yogurt. We headed to OrangeLeaf, a new place in town. They were closed. We then went to McDonalds to borrow wi-fi. We looked up SweetFrog, another new frozen yogurt place in town. Bobby called to find out their hours. They closed at 10 pm. It was 9:55. We were 10 minutes away. The guy said he'd stay open for us! We arrived, and they asked if we knew what we wanted, so that they could go ahead and continue cleaning up. We informed them that we'd never been before but would try to be quick. We thanked them for staying open for us, and told them that we decided to come because we wanted to do something we'd never done before, to celebrate our anniversary. They said that it wasn't much of an anniversary gift, but that our frozen yogurt was on the house! We were SO excited! It meant so much to us that they cared enough about our anniversary to bless us with free FroYo! It also excited me greatly that they are a Christian company. The Frog in Sweet Frog stands for Fully Rely On God. We will definitely be going back to Sweet Frog, and you should too!
