In the car the other night I asked Shawn to guess who was coming to his birthday party, because I was excited that my best friend and her sweet baby were going to make a special trip from Charleston. We'd talked about it a few days earlier, and I wondered if he'd remembered.
S: Mémé and Pawpaw!
Me: Umm, yes.. but who else?
S: Granny and Granddaddy!
Me: Yes, anyone else?
S: Nana and Poppop!
Me: No, they can't make it this time. Some of your friends are coming.
S: Harper, Lucas, Elliott!
Me: No, they will be at the beach.
S: They play beach ball at beach.
Bobby: That's probably a good assumption.
S: When I four, I go beach with Harper, Lucas.
Me: Ok then, we can discuss that in a year and a few weeks.
